I met some new friends this past weekend at the North Brunswick Fellowship Church in Leland, NC. I am grateful to have met with this group as we discussed how their church can focus their entire attention toward reaching the poor. They are praying about occupying a building in a lower income area of the county to provide ministry. At this point the church is in prayer and discussion about the ministry. Decisions need to be made and much physical work will need to take place. I will use this site to update you on how you can assist this congregation. Right now I would like to call the Eastern NC Poverty Network to prayer with our CBF Friends in Leland NC. May God Bless you Revs. Rob and Micky Norman as you co-pastor this congregation.

One place that might be helpful to check out when you are in Atlanta the next time is the Georgia Avenue Community Ministry. They operate one of the most life changing food cooperative ministries that takes the food pantry idea and creates an opportunity for development and relationship building. It is truly an amazing ministry.

Plus it would be good to have you in Atlanta. Just let me know and I would be glad to introduce you to the folks there. Chad, Ella and Brian are all wonderful!

It is a privilege to serve in North Carolina as Global Field Personnel. I am excited about the plans that are beginning and the partnerships that are forming as we work together to be the presence of Christ to those in need. I am happy to discuss with you how you, your church, or your business can serve in this important new ministry. You can contact me by email: landerson@thefellowship.info or by phone: 252-945-5398.
